Holiday Recap…2020 Healthy Focus
Well, this blog is long overdue seeing it’s 18 days into a new year (at the time of this publication), a new decade. My 2019 holiday was nice. We had family travel from various cities, states and shared memorable moments. Believe it or not, we had some downtime which was much needed. It was unusual because we normally would spend most of the time going from house to house visiting family and friends. Having some down time allowed me to reflect on my past and my future. Sometimes we need to see how far we’ve come to appreciate our current situation or be encouraged to make a shift so, we can keep moving forward in the right direction.
Here’s a transparent moment, while reflecting on the beginning stages of my health, wellness and fitness journey which lead to the emergence of #HappyFitFriday; I could see my commitment level was far greater than my journey in 2019. Somehow, I allowed my focus to become skewed when my weight hit a plateau and health challenges became more prevalent. My behavior began to spiral in the wrong direction.
Now that it’s 2020, I must eradicate potential debilitating habits that can change the trajectory of my health. I’ve concluded it’s vital to have a health, wellness and fitness vision. It encourages me to create a plan and execute strategies that will put me in a better position concerning my health. It’s a struggle at times but I’m determined to GET IT DONE!
Take some time to reflect on your prior activities and determine what is good and what you need to eliminate. Be intentional by scheduling some time each week to workout, plan your meals and find some downtime for YOU. Build an arsenal of tools to help you with your health, wellness and fitness goals.
Consult your physician regarding the proper exercise regime and diet for you. Make sure you get a release from him/her stating it’s okay to exercise if necessary (you may find a program which requires a signed form). Find some YouTube exercise videos, join a gym (be committed!), plan healthier meals, and journal your thoughts.
Speaking of tools to help you strategize; check out our new release of #HappyFitFriday Daily Challenge Journal to help you keep track of your health, wellness and fitness goals. It’s available now on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/HappyFitFriday-Daily-Challenge-Journal/dp/1654021431/
